The more recent windows are thinner: 1,613 roles were posted in the last 30 days, just 32.7% of the 90-day total, and 320 in the last 7 days, 19.8% of the 30-day total. For frontier tech hiring, the implication is clear: short-term publishing volume is not the same as mission-critical demand. It is a rhythm signal, not a trend signal.
The composition of the 180-day market also argues for stability. AI and algorithm roles account for 1,826 positions, or 34.4%, while data roles contribute 1,533, or 28.9%. Strong compensation signals appear in 4,241 roles, 80% of the sample, which means employers are still attaching real budgets to these hires. AI and data roles still anchor the market

The latest seven days tell a different sub-story: AI/algorithm and data combined fell to 41.6% of 320 roles, while engineering roles reached 40.3%. Data roles deserve extra attention for talent market researchers. The 30-day window contained 511 data postings, but the latest week only 68. Data platform roles slipped from 411 over 180 days to 57 over 30 days and just 3 in the latest seven days. That is exactly what the numbers show: the demand curve is bending toward senior technical and product leaders.
The buyer profile is also changing. Recent postings come from Goldman Sachs, Genesys, GitLab, and Binance, organizations embedding AI into tax operations, customer support, developer tools, and compliance. The enterprise AI buyer is no longer the research lab; it is the operating business. For new economy teams, this raises the competitive stakes. The same senior AI engineers and data leaders are now being courted by large institutions with scale and data assets. Winning requires an employer value proposition built on ownership, delivery speed, and frontier technology access.
